Hey, I’m Mark.
I’m a wedding, couples, and portrait photographer based in Des Moines, Iowa. I’ve been photographing weddings since 2018.
I’m a little quiet at first, but that tends to wear off once we get talking. Fair warning: I’m pretty sarcastic.
The people, the place, the pace
My kind of wedding.
I get along with kind, easygoing people. A smaller guest list suits me, especially when your friends treat each other like family and there’s a good party after dinner.
Mountains are my thing, and I love a secluded venue. I’m always glad to have a reason to head out west, but Iowa is home and I photograph weddings here too.
The parts that get me.
The way your parents watch the ceremony usually gets me, and so do the moments when it’s just the two of you. I want you to have photographs of those parts too.
I want you to remember more than what everyone looked like.
And if you’re awkward in photos?
You don’t need to know how to pose.
Most people don’t. I’ll give you something to do, then photograph how you naturally are with each other.
You’ll get direction when you need it, without turning your wedding into an all-day photo shoot.
